The questioner : The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
If the garment is ample, wrap it round your body إذا كان الثوب واسعا فالتحف به
Bulugh al-Maram 2:71
O Shaykh, is this not a command?

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Is this not a command, and is the command for obligation?

The Shaykh : The hadith of Jabir that the author mentioned before this indicates that it is not obligatory. And it will come to us, if Allah wills, in the next lesson that Jabir rebuked the one who was rebuked when he prayed in his izar and rida' hung on the peg. Yes.

The questioner : Regarding the issue.

The Shaykh : What?

The questioner : Denying acceptance: If a man goes to a fortune-teller, is he ordered to cut off the prayer or not?

The Shaykh : How is he ordered to cut off the prayer?
