Some of the worshippers are unable to stand, so they pray on a chair; how do they bow and prostrate?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : ... he is only unable to stand.

The Shaykh : What?

The questioner : He is only unable to stand, but he is able to prostrate on the ground, so he sits on the chair and gestures, or on the ground.

The Shaykh : No, for these people, prostration may be difficult for them. However, if he is able to prostrate, then if he is on the chair and wants to prostrate, he should descend. But perhaps it is difficult for them, because some people’s knees are not flexible, making prostration difficult for them. And if he is with the imam, he might miss prostrating with the imam. The important thing is that if he is able to descend to the ground and prostrate, it is obligatory for him to do so.
Sound in any case. We say that if it is established, then combining is easy. It was written in the Preserved Tablet first, then it was revealed... Allah the Exalted speaks with it.
