The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: << ولوطا إذ قال لقومه . . . . . . . . . . >
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The saying of Allah the Exalted: up to its end, from this it is derived that the mention of these callers to Allah is elevated, because His saying: means to mention him in a place of praise. The elevation of the mention of the callers to Allah, Mighty and Majestic, from among the prophets and others. And for this reason, Allah the Exalted said in the Qur'an in the story of Maryam: [Maryam 19:16] Yes.
And among the benefits of the verse is the virtue of Lut (peace be upon him).
And among its benefits is also focusing on the matter in which people have immersed themselves, even if something else is more important than it. Lut did not focus on tawhid (the oneness of Allah) in this story, otherwise no messenger calls to anything but tawhid, but he focused on this prevalent act among people. We benefit from this, and a benefit is built upon it, which is that some people, when they see some callers denying a specific matter in which people have immersed themselves, say, "This is less severe than this; do not speak about this; the people in the trap are greater than the sparrow." That is, when he speaks, for example, about entertainment venues, or about gambling, or about riba (usury or interest), they say, "Do not speak about this; there are people who do not pray; why do you not speak about this thing?" So we say, there is no objection to callers focusing on what people have immersed themselves in, even if something else in which they have not immersed themselves is more important than it, because the intended goal is to treat this disease that has spread among people.
And among the benefits of the verse is the enormity of liwat (sodomy), refuge with Allah, which is approaching males with males, and there is no doubt that it is among the greatest of obscenities.
And Lut, when he said to his people...
ولوطا إذا قال لقومه ...Mention
اُذْكُرAnd mention, [O Muhammad], in the Book [the story of] Mary
