The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “Indeed, there was for Saba’ in their dwelling a sign: two gardens on the right and the left. Eat from the provision of your Lord and be grateful to Him. A good land and a Forgiving Lord.”

And His saying, the Exalted, [Saba 34:15] to the end of it, contains evidence for the use of emphasis in important matters, even if the one being addressed is not denying or hesitating. Indicating His wisdom, the Glorious and Exalted, where He gave them that good when they were turning toward Allah, and He deprived them of it when they turned away and were arrogant about His obedience. A sign for the heedful among the people of sins, for in it is a warning to them that the blessing of Allah may be removed from them because of their sins. A sign for the obedient, for they take a lesson from it that as long as they remain in obedience to Allah, the blessing of Allah revolves around them. These are four aspects of it being a sign.

Among its benefits is the obligation of gratitude to Allah, the Exalted and Sublime, due to His saying,. Gratitude is obligatory by reason as it is obligatory by the Shari'ah. As for its obligation by the Shari'ah, the verses commanding it are numerous. As for its obligation by reason, it is because clear reason dictates that whoever does good to you, you should thank him for it. And whoever does not thank people does not thank Allah. That is, everyone sees that it is wrong for a person to do you a favor and then you deny it and do not stand up to thank him. Everyone knows that this is wrong and that it is obligatory to thank.
Among the benefits of this noble verse is that the lands of Allah are divided into good and bad, due to His saying,. What is the type of goodness in this land? Is it the goodness of the soil, the goodness of the climate, or the goodness of the fruits? The answer covers all of that. Allah the Exalted said, [Al-A'raf: 58].
