The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: ((And Iblis confirmed his assumption about them, so they followed him, except a group of the believers))

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Allah Mighty and Majestic says:
And Iblees had already confirmed through them his assumption, so they followed him
[Surat Saba: 20]. It is derived from this that Iblis is described as truthful and described as a liar. What is the attribute that necessarily belongs to him? Lying. Allah the Exalted said:
But Satan does not promise them except delusion.
[Surat al-Nisa: 120]. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
He has told you the truth, and he is a liar
But he may sometimes tell the truth.
And among the benefits of the noble verse is: making clear the wisdom of Allah Mighty and Majestic in allowing Satan to have power over the children of Adam, which is that He knows who believes in the Hereafter and works for it, who does not believe, and who is in doubt and does not work for it, as He said:
And he had over them no authority except [it was decreed] that We might
[Saba 34:21]
.
And among the benefits of the noble verse is: that faith is a barrier against following Satan, as He said:
so they followed him, except for a party of believers.
[Saba 34:20]
. For this reason, it passes by you often; it often passes by you. No one of you believes until he becomes such and such. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him say such and such, or let him do such and such. This indicates that faith is a barrier against following Satan and a cause for following the guidance of the Messengers (peace and blessings be upon them). Good.
And among the benefits of the noble verse is: that Satan is the leader of every misguidance, as He said:
So they followed him فاتبعوه
. So the leader of all the misguided is Satan, and they are his followers.
And among the benefits of the noble verse is: if we say that
Who من
is for partiality and that the intended meaning of following is absolute following, then among its benefits is: that some of the believers may follow Satan in some matters, because he is sometimes... We said that perhaps the exception is connected and
Who من
is... because some of the believers may follow Satan in some matters. An example of that is:
Let none of you wat with his left hand nor drink with his left hand, for indeed Ash-Shaitan eats with his left hand and drinks with his left hand.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1799Sahih (Darussalam)
. If one does that, he becomes a follower of Satan. And for this reason, the stronger opinion is: that eating with the left hand and drinking with the left hand is forbidden, and that it is not merely disliked but rather forbidden, and the person becomes a sinner by doing so. Yes, except if he is a progressive, civilized person, then he eats with the left hand. Not the fork, do not contradict, but the talk is about the left hand. If you eat with the right hand, eat with three forks, it does not matter. But if you eat with the left hand, that is the problem. Those who do it claim that they are progressives and civilized. Yes, but not all progress is praiseworthy. For Allah says about Pharaoh:
He will precede his people on the Day of Resurrection and lead them into the Fire; and wretched is the place to which they are led.
[Surat Hud: 98]. Good. So, on this last opinion: that
Who من
is for partiality, the exception is connected, and some of the believers have some following of Satan, not complete following.
