The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “It is not for a believer, male or female, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, for them to have any choice in their affair”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Allah the Exalted said:
It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair
[Al-Ahzab: 36]. One of the benefits of this noble verse is that the implication of faith is that a believer does not oppose the command of Allah and His Messenger, as He said:
And never is it for a وما كان لمؤمن
[An-Nisa 4:92]
to the end of the verse.
And among its benefits is that the stronger the faith, the stronger the compliance. The reason is that a ruling attached to a description strengthens with its strength and weakens with its weakness.
Accordingly, the third benefit is established: the more faith decreases and weakens, the more opposition increases. For this reason, the scholars said that faith increases with obedience and decreases with disobedience.
And among the benefits of this noble verse is that whatever the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) decided in matters is as Allah decided, as He said:
when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter إذا قضى الله ورسوله أمراً
[Al-Ahzab 33:36]
.
And among the benefits of this noble verse is that all good is in what Allah and His Messenger have decided, as He said:
for them to have any choice أن يكون الخيرة
, meaning what they choose, because they see that the good is in what Allah and His Messenger have decided.
And among the benefits of this noble verse is that disobedience is misguidance, as He said:
And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error. ومن يعص الله ورسوله فقد ضل ضلالاً مبيناً
[Al-Ahzab 33:36]
.
And among its benefits is that the greater or more numerous the disobedience, the clearer and more evident the misguidance. The reason is what we mentioned before: that a ruling attached to a description increases with its increase and decreases with its decrease.
