Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “And those who disbelieved said, ‘We will never believe in this Qur'an nor in what is before it.’”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
And those who disbelieved وقال الذين كفروا
[Ibrahim 14:13]
from the people of Makkah, the people of Makkah... they were disbelievers before they became believers, but it is not permissible to specify what Allah the Mighty and Majestic has generalized. The correct view is that those who disbelieved from the people of Makkah and others, what did they say? They said:
We will never believe in this Qur'an nor in that before it لَنْ نُؤْمِنَ بِهَذَا الْقُرْآنِ وَلا بِالَّذِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ
[Saba 34:31]
I seek refuge in Allah, they used
will not لن
which indicates the affirmation of the negation, and they did not say: “We do not believe,” but rather they said:
We will never believe لن نؤمن
affirming the absence of their faith in the Qur'an in the future,
We will never believe in this Qur'an لَنْ نُؤْمِنَ بِهَذَا الْقُرْآنِ
