Continuation of the benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “Indeed, they used to be arrogant when it was said to them, ‘There is no deity except Allah.’”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Among the benefits of this noble verse is that whoever says “There is no deity except Allah” with sincerity must submit to the commands of Allah and not be arrogant. Consequently, many texts link entering Paradise to the recitation of “There is no deity except Allah.” It is well known that entering Paradise does not result merely from saying it, for the hypocrites say it yet do not enter Paradise. However, the one who says it is intended to be one who submits to what this great word necessitates, namely following the commands of Allah and avoiding His prohibitions.
Now, among the benefits of this noble verse is that it is not permissible to direct any type of worship to other than Allah, due to His saying:
There is no god but Allah. لا إله إلا الله
Therefore, it is not permissible to direct any type of worship to other than Allah, whether prayer, vow, prostration, bowing, or Hajj. All of it must be directed to Allah (Mighty and Majestic), for He is the one truly worthy of worship.
