The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: ((He created you from one soul, then made from it its mate, and sent down for you from the livestock eight pairs. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, in three darknesses. That is Allah, your Lord; to Him belongs the dominion. There is no deity but Him, so how are you averted?))

Allah the Mighty and Majestic said:
created you from one soul خلقَكم من نفس واحدة
[An-Nisa 4:1]
Among the benefits of this noble verse is that the origin of humanity is from Adam, and it is not—as the monkeys claim—that its origin is a monkey that then evolved, based on His saying:
created you from one soul خلقكم من نفس واحدة
[An-Nisa 4:1]
And Allah the Exalted has explained in various places in the Qur'an how He created this soul.
Among its benefits is that humanity is a created thing and not eternal, based on His saying:
created you خلقكم
And creation necessitates being a created thing.
Among the benefits of this verse is that Allah made the spouses of the children of Adam of their own kind, based on His saying:
Then He made from it its mate ثم جعل منها زوجها
[Az-Zumar 39:6]
If the wife were of a different kind, affection and love would not be established, but Allah made her of the same kind for this reason.
Among its benefits is what Allah has bestowed upon us by sending down the eight kinds of livestock.
Among them is that Allah's bestowal of these eight kinds is greater than His bestowal of others, such as gazelles and rabbits and the like, because Allah has expressed gratitude for these eight kinds specifically, not for the others, because they are the most apparent and clearest of Allah's blessings, and because they are a familiar and beloved blessing, unlike the other livestock.
Among its benefits is the indication that the formation of this creation is from pairs, as He the Exalted said:
And of all things We created two mates ومِن كل شيء خلقْنا زوجين
[Adh-Dhariyat 51:49]
So everything in the creation must have pairs in its composition, even water, even air, and even everything
of all things We created two mates مِن كُلِّ شيء خلقنا زوجين
[Adh-Dhariyat 51:49]
And here He says:
Eight pairs ثمانية أزواج
.
Among the benefits of the noble verse is the explanation of the wisdom of Allah the Mighty and Majestic in the development of creation, based on His saying:
He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation يخلقكم في بطون أمهاتكم خلقا من بعد خلق
[Az-Zumar 39:6]
If He had willed, He would have created us in a single stage, but His wisdom forbids that; rather, man develops from one stage to another for the gradualness in creation. Similarly, gradualness in legislation is wisdom; the Shari'ah was not sent down in one lump, burdening people with it from beginning to end, but it was sent down gradually. And what we are in, the pregnancy, if this pregnancy had developed in the mother's womb all at once, there would be harm to her, but it develops and grows little by little until the belly expands little by little without hardship for the mother.
Among the benefits of the noble verse is the favor of Allah the Exalted upon mankind in that He develops them in this creation in a place to which no one can reach, based on His saying:
within three darknesses في ظلماتٍ ثلاث
[Az-Zumar 39:6]
As He the Exalted said:
(21) And We placed it in a firm lodging (22) For a known extent. فجعلناه في قرارٍ مكين * إلى قدرٍ معلوم
[Al-Mursalat 77:21-22]
.
Among its benefits is the protection of Allah for the fetus by being in these three darknesses, because light rays might harm it, so Allah the Exalted placed it in these three darknesses.
Among its benefits is that the One capable of this is the one worthy of divinity and worship, based on His saying:
That is Allah, your Lord; to Him belongs dominion. There is no deity except Him, so how are you averted? ذلكم الله ربكم له الملك لا إله إلا هو فأنى تصرفون
[Az-Zumar 39:6]
.
Among its benefits is also the exclusivity of Allah the Exalted in dominion, based on His saying:
To Him belongs the dominion له الملك
So there is no owner but Allah. Is the dominion the dominion of cosmic administration, or cosmic and legislative?
The student: Both...

The Shaykh : Cosmic and legislative, so there is no owner but Allah in the cosmic sense, and there is no owner but Allah in the legislative sense, and for this reason He has the cosmic and legislative judgment, the Mighty and Majestic.
Among its benefits is the loud call mocking these people who took allies besides Him after the manifestation of these great verses, based on His saying:
So how are you averted? فأنى تصرفون
Meaning, how are you averted from the truth despite its clarity and explanation.
