The state of the Muslim community today and the reason for its weakness before the disbelievers.

But if someone asks: What do you say about the Muslim community today? It is overpowered in its affairs, and the disbelievers humiliate it with the utmost injustice and fight it from every angle with all types of weapons? Our answer is that we say: I say of the Muslim community that it is true of the majority of it, as it is true of every individual in it, that they have nothing of Islam except its name, and nothing of the Qur'an except its form. Therefore, you find one of them revering the Qur'an in a way that exceeds the limits of the Shari'ah, but it is only a formal reverence. He accepts the Qur'an and loves it and presses it to his forehead, but he does not act upon what is in it except rarely. In fact, he may do so while associating partners with Allah, calling upon other than Allah. Where is the action upon the Qur'an? There is no action upon it. And if you look closely at the Islamic world today, you will find that it does not represent Islam in reality. You will find many types of shirk (associating partners with Allah) with the dead and the living. You will find many types of bid'ah (religious innovation) in creed and practice. You will find many types of breaking covenants, treachery, betrayal, lying, and deception. Where is Islam? It is nothing but its name. Consequently, we did not overcome those who disbelieved; rather, those who disbelieved are the ones who overcame us in reality, and they are the ones who have control now, control over the world economically, politically, and militarily. Yes. So, if someone asks: How is this verse true, or how is its implication true of what we see today? The answer is: We have not been truthful to Allah until victory is ours .
