On the saying of Allah the Exalted: "O you who believe, do not violate the rites of Allah..."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Regarding the saying of Allah the Exalted:
O you who have believed, do not violate the rites of Allah يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تحلوا شعائر الله ...
[Al-Ma'idah 5:2]
then He conjoined to it His saying:
or [neglect the marking of] the sacrificial animals and garlanding [them] ولا الهدي ولا القلائد
[Al-Ma'idah 5:2]
Does this conjunction indicate that the latter are not among the rites of Allah?

The Shaykh : No, just as Allah the Exalted said:
Maintain with care the [obligatory] prayers and [in particular] the middle حافظوا على الصلوات والصلاة والوسطى
[Al-Baqarah 2:238]
It does not indicate that the middle prayer is not among the prayers, but the specific may be conjoined to the general for the sake of emphasizing it.
I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the accursed,
They ask you, [O Muhammad], what has been made lawful for them. Say, "Lawful for you are [all] good foods and [game caught by] what you have trained of hunting animals which you train as Allah has taught you. So eat of what they catch for you, and mention the name of Allah upon it, and fear Allah." Indeed, Allah is swift in account.
[Al-Ma'idah 5:4]
