The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: << . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . >

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
[Allah] said, "We will strengthen your arm through your brother and grant you both supremacy so they will not reach you. [It will be] through Our signs; you and those who follow you will be the predominant."
[Surah al-Qasas:35] In this is evidence of the favor of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) upon His servant, where Allah answered the supplication of Musa. He said:
We will strengthen your arm
.
And in it is evidence that Allah gave Musa more than he asked, because he said:
as support, verifying me. Indeed, I fear that they will deny me." ردءا يصدقني إني أخاف أن يكذبون
[Al-Qasas 28:34]
So Allah gave him more than that, more than just confirming him by strengthening him as well, because confirmation means the news that he is truthful, but strengthening is more emphatic. For this reason, He said:
We will strengthen your back with your brother
.
And among them is also that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) may bestow upon the servant, granting him authority through the knowledge He has given him, as He said:
And We will make for you both authority with Our signs
.
And among them is that knowledge is a weapon, because authority means strength and dominance. If its cause is knowledge, that is evidence that knowledge is a weapon, one of the greatest things by which a person defends himself and argues. And I think it has passed us by... For this, if not for the knowledge of 'Umar, this would have had... authority, because 'Umar had the knowledge that gave him authority and dominance over that.
And among them is also the protection of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) for Musa and Harun, as He said:
so they will not reach you
[Al-Qasas 28:35]
And this is similar to His saying:
Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see.
[Taha 20:46]
.
And among them is also that holding fast to the Shari'ah of Allah is a cause for dominance. He said:
you and those who follow you will be the predominant." أنتما ومن اتبعكما الغالبون
[Al-Qasas 28:35]
Everyone who follows you.
