Answer to the doubt that the Muslim is commanded to differ from the Jews, but the Jews now let their beards grow, so we must shave ours?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : This is a matter raised by some debaters, and it is not hidden from anyone. They say that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Do the opposite of what the pagans do. Keep the beards خالفوا المشركين وفروا اللحى
Sahih al-Bukhari 5892
Now the Jews let their beards grow, so the implication of differing from them is that we should shave our beards. This is a great error, because we are commanded to let the beard grow. If they resemble us in this, it is not permissible for us to turn away from what we were commanded to do just because they agreed with us on it. Even though the beard involves differing from them, and it is part of the fitrah (the innate natural disposition), as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said in what is authentic from him:
Ten things are part of the fitrah, and among them is letting the beard grow. عشر من الفطرة وذكر منها إعفاء اللحية
So there are two things in it: differing from them, and it being part of the fitrah. Yes.
