Is it permissible to shave the beard so as not to imitate the Jews?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says, what about shaving the beard? Is it permissible to shave the beard so as not to imitate the Jews, because the Jews have beards?

The Shaykh : Yes. This person is asking, is it permissible to shave the beard so as not to imitate the Jews, because the Jews today have beards?
So we say to thisThe questioner : First: it is a lie that the Jews have beards. You see them in magazines, newspapers, and on television; they do not have beards. And if it happens that one of them, or two, or ten, or a hundred have beards, they are following the fitrah (the innate natural disposition) in this, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The fitrah consists of ten things - or he said: - ten things of the fitrah الفطرة عشر - أو قال : - عشر من الفطرة
and he mentioned among them letting the beard grow. So letting the beard grow is a fitrah (the innate natural disposition) upon which people were created. It is also from the guidance of the messengers. So our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) had a large, thick beard, such that when he was reciting in prayer, one could see the movement of his beard due to its agitation upon him (peace and blessings be upon him). And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Differ from the Zoroastrians, differ from the polytheists, let the beards grow, and trim the mustaches. خالفوا المجوس خالفوا المشركين وفروا اللحى وحفوا الشوارب
. So you, O Muslim, do you want to be in agreement with the Majus (the Zoroastrians) and in opposition to the Messenger? Or do you want to be in agreement with the Messenger and in opposition to the Majus (the Zoroastrians)? Every Muslim says, I want to be in agreement with the Messenger and in opposition to the Majus (the Zoroastrians). And if that is the case, then it is forbidden for you to shave your beard because of your disobedience to the command of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). And whoever disobeys the Messenger has disobeyed Allah, just as whoever obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah. Yes.
