Reading from the author's words, with commentary and collation of manuscripts: "For exalting a place that the Shari'ah has not exalted is worse than exalting a time that the Shari'ah has not exalted

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: "For exalting a place that the Shari'ah has not exalted is worse than exalting a time that the Shari'ah has not exalted, for exalting physical objects through worship at them is closer to the worship of idols than exalting a time, so much so that one should avoid praying in them, even if the one praying does not intend to exalt them, lest that become a means"

The Shaykh : Is it "so much so that the one" in your copy? "so much so that the one"?
The reader: In my copy it is "so much so that the one" "so much so that the one".

The Shaykh : Opening the hamza and the kasrah is not a problem, because where is the news of "that"? Unless it is said: so much so that the one should avoid, and not "avoid."
The reader: Avoid.

The Shaykh : So much so that the one should avoid praying in them, meaning the meaning is that "avoid" is the news of "that," so much so that the one should, meaning the one should for a person to avoid praying in them, yes.
The reader: "So much so that the one should avoid praying in them, even if the one praying does not intend to exalt them, lest that become a means to singling them out for prayer, just as it is forbidden to pray at confirmed graves, even if the one praying does not intend to pray for their sake, and just as it is forbidden to single out Friday and the last days of Sha'ban for fasting, even if the one fasting does not intend to single out that fast, for what is intended to be singled out, despite the prohibition of that, is also forbidden to be singled out by action.
And these places are like the Mosque of Harm, which was built on the brink of a crumbling cliff, so it collapsed with its builder into the Fire of Hell, for when that mosque was built with harm and disbelief, and to divide the believers and to lie in wait for those who warred against Allah and His Messenger before, Allah forbade His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from praying in it and ordered its demolition. And these false shrines were only established to rival the houses of Allah, and to exalt what Allah has not exalted, and to persist in things that neither benefit nor harm, and to divert people from the path of Allah, which is His worship alone, having no partner, as He prescribed on the tongue of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)
