What is the meaning of the author's statement: "But the deceased does not continue to be rewarded after death for an action he performs after death, such as listening or otherwise"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. The author's statement: "But the deceased does not continue to be rewarded after death for an action he performs after death" was confusing to me.

The Shaykh : There is no confusion in it, because if we say that he takes pleasure in the recitation to him, then taking pleasure in the recitation and listening to it is an action, is it not an action? It is an action.

The questioner : His statement: "he is rewarded for it".

The Shaykh : Yes, meaning it is not possible to perform an action for which he is rewarded, so that you would say, "We will recite to him in order to increase his reward."

The questioner : He said: "he is rewarded for it".

The Shaykh : Yes?

The questioner : He said: "he is rewarded for it"

The Shaykh : This is a description of what came before; it is not a report.
