And we believe that nothing in the heavens or on earth is beyond His power, due to the perfection of His justice and His power

The Shaykh :"And we believe that He [Fatir 35:44] due to the perfection of His knowledge and His power" [Fatir 35:44] because He is not susceptible to being described as incapable. Answer, man! For example, a wall says "nothing is beyond it," but that is because He, Mighty and Majestic, is perfect in power and perfect in strength. And read the saying of Allah the Exalted: "I wish I had brought it with me" [Fatir 35:44] Do you see why He said [Fatir 35:44] "He was All-Knowing, All-Able"? [Fatir 35:44] So, by His knowledge, nothing is beyond Him, and by His power, nothing is beyond Him. Because one who is incapable of obtaining a thing is either ignorant of the causes of its occurrence or incapable of bringing it into existence. Otherwise, if someone said to you, "Make me a recorder like the recorders," and you do not know how to do it,
The student : No
The Shaykh : Why?
The student: ...
The Shaykh : no, because you are ignorant. You are not incapable; you are strong and able to break iron, for example, but you are ignorant. Can you make a recorder? All right.
You have complete knowledge of the craft; you know how to make it, but you are paralyzed. Why can you not bring it into existence?
The student: ...
The Shaykh : Because of incapacity. And so He said[Fatir 35:44] Why? [Fatir 35:44] And He, Mighty and Majestic, said [Ya-Sin 36:82] One word. Look, my brothers, at the creation. How many are they since Allah created them until the Hour stands? Yes.
The student: ...
The Shaykh : No one can imagine the number, let alone count them. And yet Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says[Ya-Sin 36:53] They are all present with a single call. [As-Saffat 37:19] What is that?
The student: ...
The Shaykh : So the suddenness indicates the immediacy of the occurrence. [An-Nazi'at 79:14] On the face of the earth. This is a great strength, a great power. Glorified is the Great, the All-Able, over everything. So, nothing is beyond Him due to the perfection of His power, because if He wills a thing, He says to it
not to be caused failure by anything in the heavens or on the earth
لا يعجزه شيء في السماوات ولا في الأرضnot to be caused failure by anything in the heavens or on the earth
لا يعجزه شيء في السماوات ولا في الأرضBut Allah is not to be caused failure by anything in the heavens or on the earth. Indeed, He is ever Knowing and Competent.
وما كان الله ليعجزه من شيء في السماوات ولا في الأرض إنه كان عليما قديراBut Allah is not to be caused failure
