And that no fatigue or weariness befalls Him, due to the perfection of His power << ولقد خلقنا السموات و الأرض وما بينها في ستة أيام وما مسنا من لغوب >> [ Q

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And we believe that no fatigue or weariness befalls Him" meaning in what He does "however great it may be" and the evidence for this is the saying of the Exalted
And We did certainly create the heavens and earth and what is between them in six days ولقد خلقنا السماوات والأرض وما بينهما في ستة أيام
[Qaf 50:38]
in six days, and there touched Us no weariness. في ستة أيام وما مسنا من لغوب
[Qaf 50:38]
It is not hidden from any of us that this sentence is affirmed by the oath
The student: ...

The Shaykh : And the oath ... by Allah, good
And We did certainly create the heavens and earth and what is between them in six days, and there touched Us no weariness. خلقنا السماوات والأرض وما بينهما في ستة أيام وما مسنا من لغوب
[Qaf 50:38]
meaning from any fatigue or weariness, due to the perfection of what?
The student: His power.

The Shaykh : Due to the perfection of power and strength, no weariness touches Him (Glorified and Exalted is He) because He is perfect in power and strength. Good. These verses and the entire discourse are about the attributes. What are the negated attributes? Know that the negated attributes are intended to convey two things. The first is the negation of that specific attribute, and this is clear
Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. لا تأخذه سنة ولا نوم
[Al-Baqarah 2:255]
It is clear that the Sunnah and sleep are negated regarding Allah. The second thing intended by the negated attributes is the establishment of the perfection of the opposite. The establishment of the perfection of the opposite. This is why you say, "Your Lord does not wrong anyone." And what is the opposite of injustice?
The student: Justice.

The Shaykh : Justice. Therefore, your Lord does not wrong anyone because He is perfect in justice, because He is perfect in justice. And so it is with the rest of the negated attributes; they are intended to convey two things: the first is the absence of the negated attribute, and the second is the establishment, or if you wish, say the affirmation, of the perfection of the opposite. The establishment of the perfection of the opposite. And if you wish, say the affirmation; it is all one and the same. Do you understand now? Therefore, there is no pure negation in the attributes of Allah. There is no pure negation in the Book of Allah regarding the attributes of Allah, absolutely not. The Shaykh al-Islam (may Allah have mercy on him) says: "Because pure negation is pure non-existence, and pure non-existence is nothing, let alone being praise or perfection" A good explanation. Non-existence... non-existence. Repeat the explanation once more, or did you understand it?
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : Yes. "Because pure negation is pure non-existence, and pure non-existence is nothing" because it is non-existence, and what is nothing is not perfection. Yes, it is nothing, let alone being praise or perfection. And this is a clear and good explanation. Therefore, every negated attribute is intended to convey two things: the first is the negation of that specific negated attribute, and the second is the affirmation of the perfection of its opposite. Good. And the time has now ended.
