And we believe that evil is not attributed to Allah the Exalted, due to the perfection of His mercy and wisdom. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
He said: "And we believe", meaning, O people of the Sunnah and the community, "that evil is not attributed to Allah".
Evil is not attributed to Allah, so it is not said that He has good and evil in His hand. Why?
He said: "due to the perfection of His mercy and wisdom. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
And evil is not with You. والشر ليس إليك
This was narrated by Muslim"
.
Here, if the author (may Allah guide him and have mercy on him) had brought the hadith first, it would have been better. If he had said: "And we believe that evil is not attributed to Allah, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
And evil is not with You. والشر ليس إليك
, and because that contradicts the perfection of His mercy and wisdom," it would have been more excellent. But a person, when composing a work, may overlook some things.
So here we say: Evil is never attributed to Allah. What is the evidence? The saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
And evil is not with You. والشر ليس إليك
, and because this contradicts the perfection of mercy, for the Merciful One can never desire evil; the Merciful One only desires good. Likewise, wisdom forbids desiring evil, for He (Exalted and Majestic is He) is Wise, and if the Wise One is free from doing foolishness that contains neither good nor evil, how much more so is He free from doing evil?
So here there is a textual evidence and a theoretical evidence that evil is not from Allah. The textual evidence is His saying? The saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
and evil is not attributed to You و الشر ليس إليك
Sunan an-Nasa'i 897Sahih (Darussalam)
. The theoretical evidence is that it contradicts the perfection of mercy and wisdom.
