The Shaykh : And among the benefits of this hadith, yes, we derive the benefits:
Among the benefits of this hadith is that it is not befitting for a person to fidget in prayer, moving about except out of necessity, based on his saying:
And among them is that if movement is necessary, it should be measured according to its extent, and this is what the narration of Imam Ahmad conveys:
And among the benefits of this hadith is that the mosques in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) were covered with pebbles because it is cleaner than dirt, and perhaps there was little sand around the city; otherwise, sand would be easier for people, and the mosques were covered with sand until recently.
And among the benefits of this hadith is that whenever worship becomes difficult in a way that the difficulty cannot be removed, the reward increases, based on his saying, "for mercy meets him." But does a person seek hardship when ease is possible?
The student: No.
The Shaykh : No, and for this reason, if a person is in the desert and the water is cold, and he is able to warm the water, is it better to perform wudu and ghusl with cold water, or do we say he should warm the water?
The student: The second.
The Shaykh : The second option, without a doubt, because Allah says:[An-Nisa 4:147] But if hardship in worship is unavoidable, then we say the reward is according to the degree of hardship.
"And in the authentic collections, from Ma'qib, is a similar narration without the explanation" meaning without his saying, "for mercy..."

The Shaykh : How?
The student: ...
The Shaykh : Raise your voice.
The student: ... that mercy ...
The Shaykh : Yes, how?
The student: The explanation?
The Shaykh : We mentioned the explanation, he said: "And in the authentic collections, from Ma'qib, is a similar narration without the explanation" without the explanation, meaning in his saying:
