Benefits of the Hadith (If one of you performs wudu and wears his leather socks, let him wipe over them . . . ).

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In this hadith, there is evidence for several benefits:
One of them is that it is not permissible to wipe over leather socks unless they are worn after completing ritual purity, as derived from his statement:
If one of you performs wudu إذا توضأ
.
And among the benefits of this hadith is that it strengthens the opinion that if a man washes his right foot and puts it into the sock, then washes his left foot and puts it into the sock, he is not permitted to wipe, because he put in the right foot before completing his wudu. If this hadith is authentic, it refutes the opinion that it is permissible to put in the right foot before washing the left, then wash the left and put it in. This is permissible according to the Shaykh al-Islam (may Allah have mercy on him) and a group of scholars, and he said: It does not contradict the hadith of al-Mughirah:
For I put them on in a state of purity. إني أدخلتهما طاهرتين
, but if this hadith is authentic, it is clear that what is necessary is what?
Completing the ritual purity, and the matter is easy, meaning that the only way for you to avoid remaining in doubt is to delay putting in the right foot until you have washed the left.
And among the benefits of this hadith is the preference of wiping over removing the socks for the one wearing them, based on his statement:
let him wipe over them and not remove them فليمسح عليهما ولا يخلعهما
, and this has been explained previously.
And among the benefits of this hadith is praying in the leather socks, based on his statement:
and let him pray in them وليصل فيهما
.
If someone were to say: What do you say if there is impure dirt in them?
We would say: He does not pray in them until he purifies them, and how does he purify them?
He purifies them with earth, wiping the sock on the ground until the impurity is removed, because this is what came in the Sunnah. As for the statement of those who say that it is necessary to wash them, that opinion is weak because it contradicts the Sunnah in one aspect, and because it causes hardship for the person, for if he washes the sock and then wears it, he will be bothered by the cold, and because it damages the sock. In any case, there is no doubt that purifying the leather socks is done with earth, yes.
And among the benefits of this hadith is that there is no wiping over leather socks in the state of major ritual impurity, based on his statement:
and not remove them, if Allah wills, except in the state of major ritual impurity ولا يخلعهما إن شاء الله إلا من الجنابة
, and this has been mentioned before, along with the explanation of the wisdom behind the fact that in the state of major ritual impurity, it is necessary to wash the feet.
