Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Now, if the fresh dates are harvested and this is what is needed, and the condition is present that he cannot do without them, and they are on the tops of the palm trees, then if he needs them and they are on the tops of the palm trees or elsewhere!

The Shaykh : No, they say: If they are harvested, then he can sell them and buy with dirhams, meaning he sells the dates he has, just as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Sell the dates for dirhams, then buy with the dirhams dates from another tree. بع التمر الجمع بالدراهم ثم اشتر بالدراهم جنيبا
, whereas the ones on the palm tree, he will take them little by little.

The questioner : Little by little.

The Shaykh : Yes.
