On some of the wording of this hadith: (Aflah and his father, if he is truthful) — is it authentic?

The questioner : In some of the wording of this hadith, it is said:

He became successful, by his father, if he speaks the truth

أفلح وأبيه إن صدق

.

The Shaykh : Yes, I do.

The questioner : Is it authentic?

The Shaykh : This phrase:

And his father

وأبيه

is not authentic. The correct view is that it is anomalous and not acted upon.
