regarding the meaning of the statement of Allah the Exalted: “(She) seizes what they do.”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The student: ... in His saying:
it will swallow up what they have crafted تلقف ما صنعوا
[Taha 20:69]
It is possible that the things dissolve

The Shaykh : No, no.
The student: As in the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And if the fly should steal away from them a [tiny] thing وإن يسلبهم الذباب شيئا
[Al-Hajj 22:73]
... ?

The Shaykh : No, in any case, once it enters her mouth, it must dissolve quickly, but in the sight of the people, they see her seizing and eating, ... we mentioned this and said it is possible.
The student: Like the saying of al-Qahatani: “Allah made me the staff of Musa, seizing like a serpent”?

The Shaykh : This is a matter of similarity, a matter of comparison. There is a difference between this and what the brother mentioned. This one says, “It is as if I am the staff of Musa, seizing your weak and invalid arguments.”
