Discussion of the interpretation of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “Say: ‘Will you indeed disbelieve in He who created the earth in two days and make for Him equals? That is the Lord of the worlds. And He placed therein steadfast mountains above it and blessed it and determined therein its sustenance in four days, equal for all who ask. Then He directed Himself to the heaven while it was smoke and said to it and to the earth, ‘Come, whether willingly or reluctantly.’ They said, ‘We have come, while we obey.’”

First, we ask: The saying of Allah the Exalted:
Say, "Do you indeed disbelieve in He who created the earth قل أئنكم لتكفرون بالذي خلق الأرض
[Fussilat 41:9]
Is this sentence emphatic?
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : In what?
The student: With the
Indeedإن
and the lam

The Shaykh : And the lam? And what is meant by the interrogative?
Are youأئنكم

The student: This is a negative interrogative.

The Shaykh : A negation and a rebuke? Yes, in His saying:
Are you أئنكم
There are multiple readings, yes.
The student: I did not attend.

The Shaykh : Did you attend?
The student: Four readings

The Shaykh : Yes, say them. I do not want you to recite them; I want you to mention the readings, meaning I do not want them practically but theoretically, yes.
The student: The first is the realization of both hamzas

The Shaykh : This is one.
The student: And the second is their easing

The Shaykh : That is two
The student: And the third and fourth are their realization and easing with the elongation

The Shaykh : With the full elongation, may Allah reward you.
The student: O Shaykh, he says easing them, O Shaykh

The Shaykh : Not easing the second, but the realization of both and the easing of the second with the elongation. Now, read it with the realization of both hamzas? The realization of both hamzas is the easiest of the readings
Are youأَئِنَّكُم
. Easing the second, realizing the first, and easing the second.
The student: A'inakum

The Shaykh : No, without the alif
The student: A'inakum

The Shaykh : Yes, now inserting an alif between them with the realization
The student: A'inakum

The Shaykh : A'inakum, with the easing
The student: A'inakum

The Shaykh : Now, may Allah reward you. His saying, Blessed and Exalted is He:
and placed therein firmly set mountains وجعل فيها رواسي
[Ar-Ra'd 13:3]
To what is this sentence connected, brother?
The student:
in He who created the earth in two days بالذي خلق الأرض في يومين
[Fussilat 41:9]

The Shaykh :
In He who createdبالذي خلق
is connected to
Created.خلق
. Now, did the author, may Allah have mercy on him, follow this opinion or not, Sa'd? He followed this opinion, yes, that
Madeجعلَ
is connected to
Created.خلق
. He says it is connected to it, it does not go back to the Book.
The student: ... two new beginnings

The Shaykh : Now, meaning he did not make it connected to
Created.خلق
, why?
The student: ....

The Shaykh : Just that? Why did we make it connected to
Created.خلق
while he says it is a new beginning, why?
The student: Because of the presence of the separator

The Shaykh : Because of the foreign separator, according to his claim. Now, what is the answer to this reasoning?
The student: Either it is said that the presence of the separator does not harm in the first place, or it is said that the separator is related to...

The Shaykh : Well done. It is related to the connection, so it is not foreign. The saying of Allah the Exalted:
Equal for all who ask سواءً للسائلين
First, its grammatical analysis?
The student:
It is the sameسواء
is a state (hal)

The Shaykh : A state (hal) from where?
The student: From
Daysأيام

The Shaykh : From the
Daysأيام
. How can it be a state from the
Daysأيام
, which is a static noun, while a state must be a derived noun? Did you not review al-Zahir?
The student: Shaykh... a state from
Four daysأربعة أيام

The Shaykh : Very well.
The student: And this noun is interpreted by the derived noun

The Shaykh : And the estimation?
The student: Mustawin

The Shaykh : Mustawiyat, now
The student: A noun of action

The Shaykh : A noun of action means it is in the accusative case as an absolute object. The estimation is "It became equal." Now, His saying:
for the questioners للسائلين
What is it related to?
The student: It is related to
madeجعل

The Shaykh : Made?
The student: Created

The Shaykh :
Created.خلق
? Meaning created for those who ask?
The student: Equal

The Shaykh : Meaning equal for those who ask, and for those who do not ask? Does it increase or decrease?
The student: It is related to a deleted word

The Shaykh : The implied meaning?
The student: This is the answer for those who ask

The Shaykh : Yes, well done. The saying of Allah the Exalted:
Then He rose above the heaven ثم استوى إلى السماء
To 'Abdullah, 'Awad: "He directed Himself to the heaven"?
The student: ... "He directed Himself to the heaven" means He intended

The Shaykh : Well done, it means He intended. Now, the meaning would be: Then He intended to the heaven. And how do you analyze His saying:
and it is smoke وهي دخان
?
The student: The waw is for the state

The Shaykh : The entire sentence
The student: The sentence is in the position of a state

The Shaykh : In the position of the accusative as a state, from where?
The student: From the heaven

The Shaykh : From the heaven, complete. The author says: "In 'obeying' there is the predominance of the masculine rational, and they were treated as if they were addressed. What does this statement mean?
The student: I did not attend.

The Shaykh : Did you attend?
The student: "Obeying" is a sound masculine plural, and the original rule is that it is for the rational

The Shaykh : For the rational males
The student: For the rational males, and here it refers to the heaven and the earth, no? Rather, it refers to the heaven and the earth, and they are not rational, but they were treated as if they were.

The Shaykh : What is the evidence that they were treated as if they were?
The student: Because it was reported about them that they said, "We have come," and they did not say...
Another student: Because He addressed them, so they were treated as if they were rational.

The Shaykh : Correct, and for this reason the author says: "They were treated as if they were addressed." This is the reasoning. If he had said: "They were treated as if they were, because of the address to them," it would have been clearer. Now, his saying: "
They said, We have come قالتا أتينا
Among us " Why did he estimate his saying: " Among us," brother? No, the one behind you, exactly, the one just born, I think? Muhammad, come.
The student: I did not attend.

The Shaykh : And the one in front of you, where is the one in front of you? What is the name of this friend of yours?
The student: Muhammad al-Amin 'Umar

The Shaykh : Come, what necessitated him to say: "Among us we came, among us"? Musa
The student: ... We did not take it

The Shaykh : Strange. Now, let us start from here, in the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy. I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan. Allah the Exalted said:
