Explanation of the author's statement: It contains issues: The first: That whoever understands this chapter and the two chapters following it will realize the foreignness of Islam

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"It contains issues:
The first: That whoever understands this chapter and the two chapters following it will realize the foreignness of Islam and see the wonder of Allah's power and His turning of hearts"
. Subhan Allah!
Whoever understands this chapter, meaning by what has passed of the interpretation of the noble verse
And said, 'Never leave your gods وقالوا لا تذرن آلهتكم
[Nuh 71:23]
and the two chapters following it, and what is in them after it?
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : And the second?
The student: What came regarding the exaggeration in the graves of the righteous.

The Shaykh : The exaggeration in the graves of the righteous turns them into idols. All these chapters... if you reflect on them, the foreignness of Islam becomes clear to you. And this is the truth, for Islam, which is built upon pure tawhid (the oneness of Allah), is few. If you leave the Arabian Peninsula now, you will find exaggeration in the righteous and their graves. You hardly find a Muslim country without exaggeration in the graves of the righteous. And it may also be that it is not the grave of a righteous man; it may be a delusion, like the grave of al-Husayn. Now you find Iraq saying, "This is with us," you go to Sham (Syria) and they say, "It is with us," you go to Egypt and they say, "It is with us," and some say even in Morocco. Subhan Allah, how many Husayns are there? Four? Yes, or divided into parts. Either it is four men, or his body was divided into parts. And all of this is not correct. Al-Jilani in Iraq.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : This is strange... So the important thing is that, as Shaykh al-Islam (may Allah have mercy on him) Muhammad said, the foreignness of Islam among the Muslims becomes clear to you.
And Islam is not the action; in reality, tawhid (the oneness of Allah) is the foundation.
In these lands, before the call of Shaykh Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab, there were graves with domes that were worshipped besides Allah, and people would make pilgrimage to them and visit them. But by the success of Allah, the Exalted, Allah helped this man until He destroyed them and demolished them, and the lands became, praise be to Allah, upon pure tawhid (the oneness of Allah).
Likewise, the power of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, becomes clear to him...
The student: "The second: Knowing that the first shirk (associating partners with Allah) to occur on earth was due to the suspicion regarding the righteous". The third.

The Shaykh : It is sufficient for you, in the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy, he says: In the first issue: "That whoever understands this chapter and the two chapters following it will realize the foreignness of Islam and see the wonder of Allah's power". We have read this.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh :"The second: Knowing that the first shirk (associating partners with Allah) to occur on earth was due to the suspicion regarding the righteous". The aspect of this is that these idols that the people of Nuh (Noah) worshipped were righteous people, so exaggeration occurred regarding them, and then they were worshipped besides Allah. So in this is a warning against exaggeration regarding the righteous.
"The third: The first thing by which the religion of the prophets was altered, and the cause of that, along with the knowledge that Allah sent them". What do you have? The first thing by which the religion of the prophets was altered, what is it? Exaggeration regarding the righteous. Exaggeration regarding the righteous until they were worshipped besides Allah. And as for the cause, the first thing by which the religion of the prophets was altered and the cause of that. The first thing by which the religion of the prophets was altered is shirk (associating partners with Allah), and its cause is exaggeration regarding the righteous. And the knowledge that "along with the knowledge that Allah sent them". Sent whom? He sent the messengers. And it has preceded us that Allah, the Exalted, said:
Mankind was [of] one religion [before their deviation]; then Allah sent the prophets as bringers of good tidings and warners كان الناس أمة واحدة فبعث الله النبيين مبشرين ومنذرين
[Al-Baqarah 2:213]
So this is the first shirk (associating partners with Allah) that occurred among the children of Adam.
The student: This supports it...

The Shaykh : Yes, and it is so, even though what was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas was before Nuh (Noah), but the Arabs took these names and made them idols.
"The fourth: The acceptance of bid'ah (religious innovation) despite the fact that the Shari'ah (Islamic sacred law) and fitrah (the innate natural disposition) reject them"
The meaning of "the acceptance of bid'ah (religious innovation)"... it is prescribed or it should be, its meaning is that the acceptance of bid'ah (religious innovation) occurs, even though the Shari'ah (Islamic sacred law) and fitrah (the innate natural disposition) reject them. Bid'ah (religious innovation) in what? In the religion. Meaning that souls accept them, and the Shari'ah (Islamic sacred law) undoubtedly rejects them. For this reason, he warned against them. But as for the fitrah (the innate natural disposition) rejecting them...
The student: Meaning the fitrah (the innate natural disposition) was born upon Islam.

The Shaykh : Was it born or was it inclined?
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : We say: Because the sound fitrah (the innate natural disposition) was built or inclined to worship Allah alone, having no partner, as He, the Exalted, said:
So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the fitrah of Allah upon which He has created [all] people فأقم وجهك للدين حنيفا فطرت الله التي فطر الناس عليها
[Ar-Rum 30:30]
. So bid'ah (religious innovation) is not accepted by the fitrah (the innate natural disposition); it is not accepted as legislation except by the One who possesses that.
