Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"The wisdom in the creation of the stars" What is the wisdom? Three things: adornment for the sky, projectiles against the devils, and signs by which guidance is found. Well, this is what we know of it, and it is possible that there are things we do not know. As for astrology, by which they infer earthly events, there is no doubt that it is a lie.
"The second: The refutation of those who claim otherwise" Where do we take this from? From the statement of Qatadah: "So whoever interprets them otherwise has erred, wasted his share, and assumed what he has no knowledge of" Yes.
"The third: Mention of the disagreement regarding the learning of the mansions" And the correct view is that it is permissible.
"The fourth: The warning for one who affirms anything of sorcery, even if he knows it to be false" Yes, yes, anything of astrology or otherwise, even if he knows it to be false. If he affirms it, how can he affirm it while knowing it is false?
The student: He affirms that he knows the unseen.

The Shaykh : Well, and he knows it is false?
The student: Out of necessity...

The Shaykh : But he affirms it while knowing it is false.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : What does affirmation mean? What is the meaning of affirmation that they use? If he were using it, yes, we would say even if he... It appears that the Shaykh (may Allah have mercy on him), yes.
The student: He affirms its effect...

The Shaykh : If he sees its effect, how can he say it is false? It appears that the Shaykh (may Allah have mercy on him) meant that if he affirms it, even with his tongue, the warning applies to him, even if he believes in his heart that it is false, but he affirms it with his tongue. Then this warning applies to him because it leads to encouraging people to engage in it, learn it, yes, yes, and practice it.
