Explanation of the words of Imam al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) regarding what he quoted: "

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said in the chapter on the abundance of the means of good, quoting from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said
In the morning charity is due from every bone in the body يصبح على كل سلامى من الناس صدقة
Sahih Muslim 720
or
a charity for each of you من أحدكم صدقة
. "Salamiyyah" refers to the bones or the joints of the bones. This means that every day, a charity is due for every person in every one of their limbs and in every one of their joints. It is said that the human body has three hundred and sixty joints, both small and large. Thus, three hundred and sixty charities are due for every person every day. However, these charities are not monetary; rather, they are general. Every door of good is a charity. Every tahlil is a charity, every takbir is a charity, every tasbih is a charity, every tahmid is a charity, enjoining good is a charity, and forbidding evil is a charity. Anything that brings one closer to Allah (Mighty and Majestic), whether in speech or action, is a charity. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) even said
If you help a man with his mount by loading it for him or lifting his goods onto it, that is a charity إنك إذا أعنت الرجل في دابته فحملته عليه أو رفعت له عليها متاعه فهو صدقة
: "Everything is a charity. Reciting the Qur'an is a charity, and seeking knowledge is a charity." Consequently, charities become numerous, and a person can fulfill the charities due to them, which are three hundred and sixty. Then he said
And two rak'ahs suffice for all of that ويجزئ من ذلك
, meaning from him
two rak'ahs which one prays in the forenoon ركعتان يركعهما من الضحى
Sahih Muslim 720
, that if you pray two rak'ahs of the Duha prayer, it suffices for all the charities due to you. This is part of the facilitation of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) for His servants. In this hadith, there is evidence that the term "charity" is applied to things that are not money.
