The Shaykh : All right, then the author (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "And they know that the truest of speech is the speech of Allah": There is no doubt
This is our knowledge and our belief that the truest of speech is the speech of Allah, and that there is no falsehood whatsoever in the speech of Allah. If one supposes that something is a lie because it contradicts reality, then that is a deficiency in his supposition or a shortcoming on his part. As for it actually being a lie, that is impossible, for the speech of Allah the Exalted is the truest of speech. If Allah informs about something that it is, then it is. If He informs about something that it will be, then it will be. If Allah informs about something that its attribute is such and such, then its attribute is such and such.
It is not possible for the matter to change from what Allah has informed about. And whoever supposes a change, as I said, his supposition is wrong due to his deficiency or his shortcoming. Either he is deficient and does not understand how to reconcile reality with the speech of Allah, or he is shortcoming and has not investigated the issue, nor reflected upon it, nor looked into it. A clear example of this is if someone were to say: Allah Mighty and Majestic informed that the earth has been spread out[Al-Ghashiyah 88:20] and we observe that the earth is spherical. How does this happen? This contradicts reality, so the lie would be either the sphericity of the earth or how it was spread out? We cannot say that the sphericity of the earth is a lie, nor can we say that the Qur'an lies about it. If we said that the Qur'an lies about it, people would attack the religion of Islam and the Qur'an. So where is the error? In the understanding. The error is in the understanding, where he supposed that its being a surface or having been spread out contradicts its being spherical. Otherwise, the truest of speech is the speech of Allah. If we believe that the truest of speech is the speech of Allah, that means it is obligatory for us to believe in what? In everything that Allah has informed about in His Book.
Whether that is about Himself or about His creations, it is obligatory for us to believe in everything that Allah has informed about in the Qur'an, because the Qur'an is the truest of speech. Even if it were assumed that our eyes witnessed a matter that explicitly contradicts the Qur'an, then our eyes are veiled and lying, because the truest of speech is the speech of Allah Mighty and Majestic.

And at the earth - how it is spread out?
