The permissibility of sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when his name is mentioned during the sermon

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: The brother A. M. S. from the state of Arizona in the United States of America says in his question: If the name of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is mentioned while the imam is delivering the Friday sermon, is it permissible for us to send blessings and peace upon him (peace and blessings be upon him)?

A: It is prescribed to send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when his name is mentioned in the Friday and Eid sermons and in gatherings of dhikr; because of his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
May the man before whom I am mentioned - and he does not send Salat upon me - be humiliated.رغم أنف رجل ذكرت عنده فلم يصل علي
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3545Hasan (Darussalam)
(peace and blessings be upon him).
