Sending blessings upon the Messenger during the Friday sermon

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The sixth question of Fatwa No. ( 17879 )
Q 6: If the imam is on the pulpit on Friday and mentions the name of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), is it prescribed to send blessings upon him or not?
A 6: When the preacher begins his Friday sermon, it is obligatory to listen to him, and speaking is forbidden, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
If you say to your brother while the imam is delivering the sermon, "Be quiet," you have spoken in vain.إذا قلت لأخيك والإمام يخطب: أنصت، فقد لغوت
As-Sunan al-Kubra lil-Nasa'i 8:27
agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim. However, if the preacher makes a supplication or mentions the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the listener should say "Ameen" and send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) quietly, without raising his voice. This reconciles the texts, because saying "Ameen" and sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is not among the speech that is prohibited for one listening to the sermon; rather, it is an act of worship connected to the sermon.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
