The Shaykh’s inquiry of the student regarding whether Salman and Safer are among the Saruriyyah.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Our Shaykh, if you permit, there is a point at the beginning. It is understood from the brother’s words that he described Shaykh Salman andThe Shaykh : Safer as being among the Saruriyyah.

The Shaykh: Correct.

The questioner : And he said, “He released a tape titled ‘A Word of Truth,’ and it is understood from his words that they have altered your words about them on the tape, and that you addressed them in this manner so that the words would be changed?”

The Shaykh : Yes, this is indeed what was understood from your words. Do you mean that, or not?
The student : This, my Shaykh, is what I meant: that they changed the title, meaning they crossed out what they crossed out.

The Shaykh : There are two issues.
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : Whether they are among the Saruriyyah; this is the first issue.
The student : Shaykh, I sat with one of them in Abu Dhabi. I do not wish to mention his name. He originally classified them in this way; he is one of them. When the scholars classified you and Shaykh Muqbil and the great scholars in one scale, and placed Shaykh Salman andThe Shaykh : Safer, along with many students of knowledge and scholars in Saudi Arabia, in the other scale, that was his statement. As for me, frankly, I even said to Shaykh Abu Ahmad, “I mean, he did not bring evidence with him, but the young men who listened, read, and sat with these people, meaning, what is his name?”
Another student: They are the ones who said it.
The student : They are the ones who said the words.

The Shaykh: All right.
