The limit of raising a grave above the ground

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: What is the limit for raising a grave above the ground?

A: The prescribed height is a shibr or approximately that amount, and the grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was not raised more than a shibr. As for raising it significantly, it is not permissible; for it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said to Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) :
Spare no portrait unwiped out, and leave not a high grave unlevelled.لا تدع صورة إلا طمستها ولا قبرًا مشرفًا إلا سويته
Riyad as-Salihin 1687
It was narrated by Muslim in his Sahih.
