The Muslim must fast and break his fast with the state in which he resides

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: If the entry of the month of Ramadan is confirmed in one of the Islamic states, such as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and this is announced, but it has not been announced in the state where I reside that the month of Ramadan has begun, what is the ruling? Do we fast simply because it has been confirmed in the Kingdom, or do we break our fast with them and fast with them when they announce the entry of the month of Ramadan? Likewise, regarding the entry of the month of Shawwal (i.e., the day of Eid), what is the ruling if the situation differs between the two states? May Allah reward you and the Muslims with the best reward.

Answer: The Muslim must fast with the state in which he is and break his fast with it; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
The fast is the day the people fast, the breaking of the fast is the day the people break their fast, and the sacrifice is the day the people sacrifice.الصوم يوم تصومون، والفطر يوم تفطرون، والأضحى يوم تضحون
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 697Hasan (Darussalam)
. And success is from Allah.
