The ruling on one who did not pass through a miqat and was unable to align with the first miqat
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: What is the ruling for pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom who enter the state of ihram from Jeddah?
Answer: It is obligatory to enter the state of ihram from the miqat, whether that miqat is the miqat of his own country or another miqat he passes through on his way, such as a person from the Levant who comes via the route of Madinah; he enters ihram from the miqat of Madinah. If he happens to have passed it, and it is possible for him to return to the miqat and enter ihram from there, that is what is obligatory. If he is unable to do so, he enters ihram from his current location, and he must offer a sacrificial animal for the poor of the Haram, which is slaughtered in Makkah. As for the one whose route does not pass through a miqat, he should try to align with the first miqat he passes and then enter ihram. As for the one who cannot do either of these, he enters ihram when he is two stages away from Makkah, which is one day and one night, approximately eighty kilometers. And success is from Allah.
