Question : If a young man is able to perform Hajj but delays it until he gets married or grows older in age, does he commit a sin?
Answer : If a person reaches puberty and is able to perform Hajj and 'Umrah, it is obligatory for him to perform both; due to the generality of the evidence, including the statement of the Exalted: [Al-Imran: 97]. However, if a person’s need for marriage is urgent, he must prioritize it before Hajj; because in this state, he is not considered able (mustati'). If he cannot afford the costs of both marriage and Hajj, he begins with marriage to protect his chastity; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Mishkat al-Masabih 3080 It is agreed upon that it is authentic.

And [due] to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House - for whoever is able to find thereto a way
