Is it a condition of Hajj that the Muslim intends to perform Hajj from his home country?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: His Eminence Shaykh Abdul Aziz ibn Baz (may Allah preserve him)
Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings.
I am one of the residents of the Kingdom, of Egyptian nationality, and Allah has blessed me with performing the obligatory Hajj two years ago. I performed this obligation while working in the Kingdom. One of my relatives in Egypt planted doubt in me, informing me that my Hajj is invalid because my intention in coming to the Kingdom was work, not Hajj, and that I must return to Egypt, intend to perform Hajj, and then perform it. I hope you will inform me about this matter? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer: And upon you be peace, and Allah’s mercy and blessings, and after that:
Your Hajj is valid and sufficient for you, and praise be to Allah. May Allah accept it from you. It is not a condition of this that you come from Egypt with the intention of Hajj, and this claim has no basis in truth.
May Allah guide its speaker and protect him from the whispers of Satan, and from speaking about Allah without knowledge. And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
