Its Ruling and Its Obligation
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets and the Imam of the righteous, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.

To proceed: This is Thursday, the twentieth of the month of Dhu al-Qa'dah in the year (1413 AH), which is the fourth meeting of this month.
We have previously spoken about the surah
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness]إِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ
[al-Takwir: 1], and the surahs before it: 'Abasa, al-Naziat, and al-Naba', and we have completed these four surahs, praise be to Allah.
Today, we will begin this meeting by speaking about Hajj.
Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam upon which Islam is built,As the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Islam is built upon five: testifying that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establishing the prayer, giving zakah, fasting Ramadan, and performing Hajj to the House of Allah the Sacred).
Allah, Mighty and Majestic, made it obligatory upon His servants in the ninth year of the Hijrah, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed Hajj in the tenth year. It is an individual obligation by the consensus of the Muslims; whoever denies its obligation while living among the Muslims is a disbeliever, because he has denied an obligation established by the Book and the Sunnah, known necessarily from the religion of Islam. And whoever acknowledges its obligation but neglects it despite it being obligatory upon him,Some of the scholars said: he is a disbeliever, as is one of the narrations from Imam Ahmad (may Allah have mercy on him),And some of them said: he is not a disbeliever, and this is the stronger position; but he is sinful and has committed a major sin among the major sins,And what indicates that he is not a disbeliever is: for the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not consider any act of worship, the abandonment of which constitutes disbelief, other than the prayer.

But it is not obligatory except with conditions:
