The Shaykh :"Ibn al-Qayyim said regarding the first verse: This suspicion was interpreted to mean that Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, will not support His Messenger" Which is the first verse?
thinking of Allah other than the truth - the thought of ignorance يظنون بالله غير الحق ظن الجاهلية
[Ali 'Imran 3:154]
It was interpreted to mean that Allah will not support His Messenger "and that His cause will diminish—meaning it will cease—and it was interpreted to mean that what befall them was not by the divine decree and wisdom of Allah" Yes, where do we take this interpretation from? From their saying, "If we had any authority, we would not have been killed here." Yes, "so it was interpreted as a denial of wisdom, a denial of the divine decree, and a denial that the cause of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) will be completed and that He will make him prevail over all religion" So it was interpreted as an insult to lordship and an insult to the names and attributes. Insulting the divine decree is an insult to the lordship of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, because the perfection of His lordship, Glorified and Exalted is He, is that you believe that everything that happens in the universe is by the divine decree and destiny of Allah. It is an insult to His actions and His wisdom, where it is suspected that Allah the Exalted will not support His Messenger and that His cause will diminish. For if a person suspects this of Allah, it means that the sending of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) is what?
The student: Futility

The Shaykh : Futility and foolishness. What is the benefit of sending a Messenger, commanding fighting, destroying wealth, and destroying lives, only for the result to be that His cause diminishes and he is defeated? This is far-fetched, especially for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), who is the Seal of the Prophets, for Allah the Exalted has decreed that His Shari'ah will remain until the Day of Resurrection. He, may Allah have mercy on him—meaning Ibn al-Qayyim—said: "And this is the evil suspicion that the hypocrites and the polytheists held in Surat al-Fath" What is the suspicion?
