Explanation: And not a grain in the darknesses of the earth

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He said:
And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth
[Al-An'am 6:59]
Allah is the Greatest. A small grain that the eye cannot perceive in the darknesses of the earth; He, the Mighty and Majestic, knows it. A grain in the darknesses of the earth, and
Darknesses
"darknesses" is the plural of "darkness." Let us count the darknesses now: This is a very small grain that you cannot see with your eye, beneath the mud of the sea. Let us look at the darknesses now:
First: The mud of the sea.
Second: The water of the sea.
Third: The rain. We are now in a night when it is raining.
Fourth: The clouds.
Fifth: The night.
The student: The waves.

The Shaykh : The waves are likely included in the sea, yes, because the waves are layers of water, and they encompass both the deep and the shallow sea.
What we know now is that we have five darknesses from the darknesses of the earth, and yet Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, knows this grain. Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, knows it and sees it, does He not? There is no doubt, yes, He sees it. And we recited for you two verses previously, or three verses, yes, we recited them, O Fahd?
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : Good, what Allah willed, you have memorized them.
"O He who sees the spread of the mosquito's wings *** In the pitch-black, dark night
And sees the sinews of its veins in its throat *** And the marrow in those slender bones
Grant me a repentance that erases *** What I did in the first time"

Allah is the Greatest. It revives the heart, yes, good.
And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth
[Al-An'am 6:59]
Listen also to
no moist or dry [thing] وَلا رَطْبٍ وَلا يَابِسٍ
[Al-An'am 6:59]
: Now He has decreed over everything; is there anything but that it is wet or dry, or not? This is
and no moist or dry [thing] but that it is [written] in a clear record.
[Al-An'am 6:59]
Allah is the Greatest. "In a Book" means written, "Mubīn" meaning made clear or distinct, because "abāna" is used both transitively and intransitively; one says "abāna al-fajr" meaning the dawn appeared, and one says "abāna al-ḥaqq" meaning he made the truth clear. So the Book is distinct and made clear. What is meant by "the Book" here? No, my brother, it is the Preserved Tablet. All these things are known to Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, and written with Him in the Preserved Tablet. Because when Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, created the Pen, He said to it, "Write." And what did the Pen say? It did not say, "What do I write?" It said, "What shall I write?" Look, it obeyed, yes, but what do You want me to write, O Lord? He said:
He informed us of what is to happen up to the day of resurrection
Mishkat al-Masabih 5936
Allah is the Greatest. He commanded it to write what is to be until the Day of Resurrection, so it wrote. It had to write as Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, commanded it. This is a cosmic command, so it wrote what is to be until the Day of Resurrection in that moment. In the moment it wrote what is to be until the Day of Resurrection. Allah is the Greatest. What is to be until the Day of Resurrection in a moment. Yes, if all creation gathered to write what will happen in a year, could they do it in a moment? They absolutely cannot. They cannot write it in a moment. But the Preserved Tablet, when He, the Mighty and Majestic, commanded it, it said:
Write what is to occur
It ran in that hour with what is to be until the Day of Resurrection. Glory to Allah, the Great. Good. This Book, which is the Preserved Tablet, Allah wrote in it what is to be until the Day of Resurrection. Then He, Glorified and Exalted is He, placed in the hands of the angels books that record what a person does. They write what a person does, because what is in the Preserved Tablet has already been written as what the person intended to do, whereas the scrolls in the hands of the angels record what the person actually does.
(9) No! But you deny the Recompense. (10) And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, (11) Noble and recording; (12) They know whatever you do.
[Al-Infitar 82:9-12]
They write what the person did. This writing is what the person is rewarded or punished for, based on it, or the first writing? The second one is what he is rewarded for. And for this reason, Allah, the Exalted, says:
And We will surely test you until We make evident those who strive among you [for the cause of Allah] and the patient
[Muhammad 47:31]
This is the knowledge for which the person is rewarded.
As for His knowledge that His servant so-and-so will be patient or will not be patient, that is prior, but reward and punishment do not follow from it.
