The Reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and that is sufficient, and peace be upon His chosen servants.
As for what follows: This is a study regarding the hadith in which Allah the Exalted says:

The Shaykh : Come on, let's see if you are the one who makes him whistle.
The Reader: As for what follows:

The Shaykh : Come on, O Abdullah.
The student: ...
The Reader: As for what follows: This is a study regarding the hadith in which Allah the Exalted says:
'O Adam!' Adam will reply, 'Labbaik wa Sa`daik! ' Then a loud Voice will be heard (Saying) 'Allah Commands you to take out the mission of the Hell Fire from your offspring.'
Sahih al-Bukhari 7483
This hadith is narrated from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, Abu Hurayrah, Abdullah ibn Amr, Imran ibn Husayn, and others among the Companions. As for the hadith of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, al-Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Prophets, Part 4, page 109, in the chapter on the story of Gog and Magog, and in the Book of Tafsir...

The Shaykh : With this wording?
The reader: Yes, indeed

The Shaykh : So, move on...
The Reader: We move on to the second hadith.

The Shaykh : Yes, indeed
The Reader: But Shaykh, there is a word in the hadith that has a defect (illah).

The Shaykh : Yes, that is it.
The Reader: Speak about it.
Then He calls out with a voice

The Shaykh : There is a discrepancy in the narrations regarding the voice.
The Reader: No, the Hafiz spoke about it.

The Shaykh : Yes, okay, no, is it necessary or not?
The Reader: Should I speak about the defect (illah) or is it not necessary? Or is it not necessary?

The Shaykh : No, it is not necessary.
The Reader: As for the hadith of Abu Hurayrah, al-Bukhari narrated it from... page 106, in the chapter on how the Resurrection will occur, from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The first to be called on the Day of Resurrection is Adam, and his descendants see him, and it is said: This is your father Adam. He says: Here I am, at your service. He is told: Bring forth a group for Hellfire from your descendants. It is said: O Lord, how many should I bring forth? He says: Bring forth ninety-nine from every hundred. They said: O Messenger of Allah, if ninety-nine are taken from every hundred of us, what remains of us? He said: My Ummah is like a white hair in black hair among the nations.
Al-Bukhari narrated this hadith through the route of Sulayman... from Abu Hurayrah, traced back to the Prophet with a complete chain. There is a difference between the hadith of Abu Hurayrah and the hadith of Abu Sa'id and others, which is his statement:
Ninety-nine from every hundred.
The Hafiz said in al-Riqaq: From...
Isma'il said regarding the hadith of Abu Sa'id:
One from every thousand.
And likewise in the hadith of others, and it resembles

The Shaykh : It resembles
The Reader: And it resembles that the hadith of Thawr, meaning Rabi'ah ibn Abi al-Ghayth, is from Abu Hurayrah alone. End of quote.
Then the Hafiz mentioned that most of the narrations and corroborating reports support the hadith of Abu Sa'id, and al-Zuhri said about them: "They are preserved." Then the Hafiz said, after presenting the supporting narrations for the hadith of Abu Sa'id: "So these agreed upon this number, meaning from every thousand, ninety-nine." The Hafiz said: "And al-Isma'ili did not recall a supporting narration for the hadith of Abu Hurayrah, but I found it in Musnad Ahmad, where he narrated it through the route of Abu Ishaq... and there is a discussion regarding Abu al-Ahwas from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, which is stronger.
And al-Kirmani answered that the concept of the number has no consideration, so specifying a number does not indicate the negation of the excess, and the intended meaning of the number... is to minimize the number of believers and maximize the number of disbelievers."
End of quote.
I say: As for the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud that the Hafiz mentioned and attributed to the Musnad, it is in Musnad Ahmad, Part 1, page 188, and in it:
Ninety-nine from every hundred.
Imam Ahmad mentioned it through two routes, one of which includes Abu Ishaq... as the Hafiz said in al-Fath.
And the second one followed Abu Ishaq... from Abu al-Ahwas, so according to this, they are... for the hadith of Abu Hurayrah.

The Shaykh : Well done, may Allah bless you.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Yes.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Yes, yes, where is your study?
The Student: From the hadith, Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Yes
The Student: I say it starts from the beginning of the hadith, then the second, then the third.

The Shaykh : Come on.
