Reading from the words of the poet: They said, and the affirmation of the servants that He is... to his words... they are with Jahm complete in faith

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : ... So these people denied what? Wisdom and will, and woe to them before Allah the Mighty and Majestic, for when they deny the wisdom of Allah, that includes the Shari'ah and the divine decree. The Shari'ah becomes futile and absurd, and the divine decree likewise becomes futile and absurd, because any matter or any ruling that issues without wisdom is undoubtedly folly, play, and futility. For this reason, He the Exalted said:
And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. وما خلقنا السماوات والأرض وما بينهما لاعبين
[Ad-Dukhan 44:38]
And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in vain; that is the assumption of those who disbelieved وما خلقنا السماوات والأرض وما بينهما باطلاً ذلك ظن الذين كفروا
And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth وما خلقنا السماوات والأرض وما بينهما إلا بالحق
[Al-Hijr 15:85]
So Allah negated falsehood from Him and affirmed the truth. How can the Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, do a thing without wisdom? This is merely what a human imagines. Do you know that it is a false statement not befitting Allah the Mighty and Majestic? And by Allah, if it were said to one of the people... act in your property... how can the Lord of the Worlds, the Mighty and Majestic... But all of this, and may Allah protect us, are false and deviant statements that plunge their holder into this abyss. So the result is that this section, the whole section of verses, what is its content? It explains that these people of the Jahmiyyah deny the wisdom of Allah and say that His actions are merely by will. And with that, they deny that will is an attribute of Him; rather, they say that He willed by His essence, or that the will is the created thing that He willed. Do you understand... I see, but I ask you, if Allah wills, tomorrow in the next lesson, do not say we forgot, yes, and Allah knows best.
He said: "And His speech, since it is other than Him, is created for Him" They say that the speech of Allah is not an attribute of Him, but it is created. Likewise, the will is not an attribute, but it is created, because they... this is based on the second interpretation which says that the will is the action. They say they applied the term "will" to the action, just as they applied His speech, which is attributed to Him, to what He created in the tree or in Musa or the like. It was other than Allah, because he says: Do you say that the speech of Allah is He and nothing else? ... Anything other than Allah is created. Yes.

The questioner : ...

The Shaykh : The meaning is that there is no attribute, meaning the essence is the willing one without having an attribute. All the attributes, in their view, if those who affirm them among them say, for example, "Hearer" without hearing... or "Hearer" by His essence, meaning there is no attribute and hearing is an addition to the essence... this is their opinion. They say: You cannot say "Hearer" meaning He has hearing.
The reader: "They said, and the affirmation of the servants that He is *** their Creator is the limit of faith
And people in faith are one thing *** like a comb when the teeth are equal
So ask Abu Jahl and his followers, and *** those who took the idols as lords
And ask the Jews and every uncircumcised polytheist *** who worships the Messiah, facing the crosses
And ask Thamud and 'Ad, or ask before them *** the enemies of Noah, the people of the flood
And ask the accursed father of the jinn, do you know the *** Creator, or have you become one of denial
And ask the worst of creation, the most sinful nation *** "

The Shaykh : I mean
The reader: "And ask the worst of creation, I mean a nation *** "

The Shaykh : A nation
The reader: And ask the worst of creation

The Shaykh : Listen, "Lutiyyah" also in the accusative case, correct
The reader: "And ask the worst of creation, I mean a nation *** Lutiyyah, they are those who married males
And ask likewise the leader of every denier of attributes *** Pharaoh with Qarun with Haman
Was there among them one who denied the Creator, the *** Great Lord, the Maker of the universes
So let them be glad, there is no disbeliever among them *** they are with Jahm complete in faith "
