The Shaykh : The author (may Allah have mercy on him) in these verses, in this passage, states that it is obligatory for a person to speak the truth and fear none but Allah (Mighty and Majestic), for safety lies in the fear of Allah, and all fear is in the fear of people. Whoever fears Allah, people fear him, and whoever fears people, people trample him. Therefore, he (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Do not fear people*** in Allah, and fear Him, and you will attain safety". And he (may Allah have mercy on him) guided to the fact that it is obligatory to be patient without grumbling or complaining; do not grumble and do not complain, but be patient. As for boycotting, he said: if there is no choice but it, then boycott him, otherwise do not. Then he commanded us to look at the decrees of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) regarding these people who turn away from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), for we, my brothers, have two views regarding those who turn away from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). The first view is the view of divine decree, meaning looking at the decree of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). Here, we have mercy on them and feel compassion for them, and we praise Allah (Mighty and Majestic) for having spared us from what He afflicted them with, for this is among the decrees of Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
The second view: we look at them with the eye of command, meaning with the eye of the Shari'ah. At that time, we oblige them with what the Shari'ah requires, we compel them to it, we discipline them for it, and we punish them for it, as Allah the Exalted said regarding the woman and the man who commit unlawful sexual intercourse: He said:[An-Nur 24:2] So when you look at this unfortunate person, and refuge is sought in Allah, you feel compassion for him and say, "Poor thing, how was he prevented from guidance and followed desire and ruin?" You feel compassion for him. But in the matter of command, which is the Shari'ah, you oblige him with it and discipline him for what he did until he straightens out in the command of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). Therefore, the author said: "And look at the decrees" The decrees of whom? The decrees of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) "running as He willed of" What? "misguidance and of faith" Yes.
The second view: we look at them with the eye of command, meaning with the eye of the Shari'ah. At that time, we oblige them with what the Shari'ah requires, we compel them to it, we discipline them for it, and we punish them for it, as Allah the Exalted said regarding the woman and the man who commit unlawful sexual intercourse: He said:
