The Meaning of the Poet's Saying: "O people, the Christians erred before in *** the meaning of speech, and they did not find a way to clarify it"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"O people, the Christians erred before in *** the meaning of speech, and they did not find a way to clarify it"
O people, either Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) is addressing the people of the Sunnah, or he is addressing these people to show them that their argument based on what the Christian says is an error, because the Christians erred in a matter greater than this when Allah the Exalted said regarding Jesus, the son of Mary:
and His word which He cast to Maryam وكلمته ألقاها إلى مريم
They said, "Then the Messiah is a word, and a word is an attribute of the speaker, so the Messiah is a part of the speaker, a part of Allah. Why? Because it is His word. And for this reason he said:
"O people, the Christians erred before in *** the meaning of speech, and they did not find a way to clarify it
And for this reason they made the Messiah their god *** when it was said, 'The word of the Creator, the Merciful'"

When it was said that He is the word of Allah, they said, "Then it is an attribute derived from Him, and an attribute is inseparable from the one it describes, so it is then a god. But look,
"And for this reason they made Him a Nasut and a *** Laheut" The Nasut is from the human, and the Laheut is from the god. They said that their god is composed of a Nasut and a Laheut. The Laheut is eternal, and the Nasut is created and entered into it, just as speech: the meaning is eternal and the expression is created. And speech is called the word of Allah, even though it is composed of two things: meaning and expression. The expression is created, and the meaning is an attribute. He said:
"And for this reason they made Him a Nasut and a *** Laheut, eternal" What? "Then they are united" Meaning the Nasut and the Laheut became united, so they became two gods.
