Affirming that the speech of Allah is by letters, and explaining the meaning of the letters with which the surahs begin.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He said: "And recall the report of Ibn Mas'ud, *** explicit that it is of letters with clarification"
And it is that
Whoever reads the Qur'an, for him is ten good deeds for every letter من قرأ القرآن فله بكل حرف عشر حسنات
Musannaf Abd al-Razzaq 6:133

"The letter from it in the reward is ten of *** good deeds, in which there is no deficiency
And look at the surahs that began with their letters *** you will see a secret of great importance
He never came with a surah except he came *** after it with news about the Qur'an"

The surahs that begin with the letters of the alphabet, the scholars differed regarding them. Some said: We must refer the meaning to Allah, we say: We do not know. And some said: They are symbols for the names of Allah the Most Beautiful, or symbols for events that occur, or symbols they interpret as they interpret them. But the correct view is that they have no meaning in themselves, because the Qur'an is Arabic,
In a clear Arabic language. بلسان عربي مبين
[Ash-Shu'ara 26:195]
and these letters of the alphabet in the language of the Arabs have no meaning in themselves, but they have a significance. The author indicated the significance here, he said:
"He never came with a surah except he came *** after it with news about the Qur'an
Since it is a report about it and about them, and in *** this is the cure for the seeker of faith"

Meaning: an indication that this Qur'an is of these letters. Meaning: Allah did not come in the Qur'an with new letters so that you, O Arabs, would say that this defeats us because the letters are not our letters. Rather, He came with what? With the letters from which you construct your speech. And yet He defeated you. He said: And this is indicated by the fact that He did not come with a surah that begins with a letter from the letters of the alphabet except that it contains a mention of the Qur'an, correct?
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : Yes, but someone might say
(1) Alif, Lam, Meem (2) Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried? آلم أحسب الناس أن يتركوا أن يقولوا آمنا وهم لا يفتنون
[Al-'Ankabut 29:1-2]
Yes, and what?
(1) Alif, Lam, Meem. (2) The Byzantines have been defeated (3) In the nearest land. آلم غلبت الروم في أدنى الأرض
[Ar-Rum 30:1-3]

The student: The stories of the Qur'an.

The Shaykh : Yes, we say that
Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried? أحسب الناس أن يتركوا أن يقولوا آمنا وهم لا يفتنون
[Al-'Ankabut 29:2]
is correct, it does not contain a mention of the Qur'an, but it contains a mention of the people of the Qur'an that they are patient with harm. As for
The Romans have been overcome غلبت الروم
, it contains news of a hidden matter, and this does not happen except through revelation.
He said: "And it indicates that His speech is itself *** not other than it, and the truth is with clarification
So look at the beginning of the Book and after it *** Al-A'raf"

Correct? What is the beginning of the Book? Al-Baqarah, and after it Al-A'raf. But did the author leave out some? Al-Imran, huh? Al-Imran, yes, unless it is said that Al-Imran, huh? is like Al-Baqarah, Alif Lam Mim. Okay, but it appears that he did not intend to be exhaustive, may Allah have mercy on him.
"Then so on to Luqman" Luqman is like Al-Baqarah, "with what follows it" the revelation of the Prostration, "and with Ha Mim" and the intended meaning of Ha Mim is the genus, which includes all the Ha Mim surahs
"with *** Ya Sin", yes, and are there others in it? Huh? Qaf and Sad and Noon, okay. "And understand the implication of Al-Furqan", so the author did not intend to be exhaustive, he only came with something for illustration only, may Allah have mercy on him.
The student: ... Ahmad and al-Bukhari and Ibn Mas'ud

The Shaykh : No, okay, Ahmad and al-Bukhari came before, only Ibn Mas'ud.
The student: Ibn Mas'ud ...

The Shaykh : Huh, come on, Ibn Dawud, take Ibn Mas'ud.
The reader: "And Al-A'raf then so on to Luqman
With what follows it also and with Ha Mim *** with Ya Sin and understand the implication of Al-Furqan"
