What is your opinion of those who say that it is impossible to convey the correct creed to people and spread the call to Islam except by having political power?

The questioner : There are some who say, of course, that it is impossible to convey the correct creed to people, spread the call to Islam, and return these people to their religion once again except by having political power. So they made it a necessary condition for the call. What is your comment on this statement?

The Shaykh : When did political power exist? With the existence of the Master of Mankind (peace be upon him), was it on the day he was sent or after that for a period of time?

The questioner : After a period of time.

The Shaykh : So perhaps the answer is clear.

The questioner : Okay, there are some who say that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), from the beginning of the call, was preparing for the existence of political power. So how does this mean, as this person says to you, that we should prepare for political power before the call?

The Shaykh : We agree with those who say this correct statement, but we do not agree with them in what they do, because they contradict what they say. So we say: With what did the Messenger (peace be upon him) begin? Yes.

The questioner : By calling people to the creed of tawhid (the oneness of Allah).

The Shaykh : Do they do the same? The answer is no. So
