The ruling on leaving 'Arafah before sunset

Question: As for the organizers of the pilgrim groups who take the people out before sunset on the Day of 'Arafah, what is their ruling?

Answer: It is not permissible to obey them, and they must be forbidden from doing so, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not leave 'Arafah until the sun had set, and he said: Al-Bukhari and Muslim agreed upon it in their authentic collections, and the meaning is: follow my example and imitate me.
