What is the ruling on the actions of an accountant who works for a company, where naturally every company has a record of the actual daily income and another record of the falsified income?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner: Sami, a man came to me three days ago wanting to seek your fatwa, so he left this matter with me, meaning I am asking you. He said there was an accountant working for Ahmad Murad's company, and naturally every company has a record of the actual daily income and another record of the falsified income related to taxes, and this exists in almost all establishments. So this accountant used to record the actual income in this record, then take a signed copy of the actual income and record the falsified income. If the actual income was, for example, one hundred thousand in the month, he would record, for example, one thousand in the other record on the basis of paying the tax, and take a copy for himself and keep it at his home. This accountant continued in this state for many years, then he had a dispute with the owner of the establishment and was fired from his job. He brought these papers that prove the falsification and prove that the owner of the establishment falsified a very large amount of money regarding taxes as a paper to threaten the owner of the establishment with. So the owner of the establishment came and said to him: Take twenty thousand dinars and give me the papers in your possession. If he had asked for more, he would have increased it, because the papers completely incriminate him. So he took twenty thousand Jordanian dinars and handed him the papers that were in his possession. Then he discussed the matter with some students of knowledge: is this money permissible and justified for him to take according to the Sharia, or is it haram money? Most of the brothers said the matter requires that you make this money halal from its owner. So the owner of the money, the owner of the establishment, came to his house and said, in colloquial terms, "It is green for you," meaning he is forgiving him of it. But the man was not at peace with himself and said, "You must ask Shaykh Al-Albani whether I should return the money to its owner, or since the man said this money is halal for you, should I keep it with me and use it in my affairs, or what is the method?"

The Shaykh: He returns it...

The questioner: Despite this last word.

The Shaykh: Despite the last word, he fears.

The questioner: The last word, how, our Shaykh?

The Shaykh: He fears.

The questioner: He fears.

The Shaykh: Taste, taste.

The questioner: Yes, and he returns the money.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner: May Allah reward you with good... once more...

The Shaykh: Any money taken by an unprojected path without compensation.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh: And by going around and around.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh: It is not permissible.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh: Where are these police?

The questioner: No, immediately, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Not yet.

The questioner: We still have time ahead of us.
