The reciter: And Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah, Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna, and Ibn Bashar narrated to us, and their wordings are similar. Abu Bakr said: Ghandar narrated to us from Shu'bah. The other two said: Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, and Shu'bah narrated to us from Sa'd ibn Ibrahim. He said: I heard Abu Umamah ibn Sahl ibn Hunayf say: I heard Abu Sa'id al-Khudri say:
The people of Quraizah submitted to the judgment of Sa'd ibn Mu'adh, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent for Sa'd, and he came to him on a donkey. When he drew near to the mosque, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the Ansar: "Rise to your master, or your best man." Then he said: "These people have submitted to your judgment." He said: "You should kill their fighters and take their families as captives." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You have judged with the judgment of Allah." Sometimes he said: "You have judged with the judgment of the King."
, and Ibn al-Muthanna did not mention:
Perhaps he said: You have adjudged by the decision of a king.
Sahih Muslim 1768a.
