The reciter: Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah and Ishaq ibn Ibrahim both narrated to us from Hatim ibn Isma'il, from Ja'far ibn Muhammad, from his father, from Yazid ibn Hurmuz,
That Najdah wrote to Ibn Abbas, asking him about the details, similar to the hadith of Sulayman ibn Bilal, except that in Hatim's hadith it says: "And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not kill children, so do not kill children, unless you know what al-Khidr knew about the boy whom he killed."
, and Ishaq added in his hadith from Hatim,
And you distinguish the believer, so you kill the disbeliever and leave the believer.
Sunan al-Bayhaqi 16:443.
